Primarily from the Shea Vineyard with fruit from Medici, Pelos-Sandberg, Weber Vineyards, as well as a bit of Beaux Frères Vineyard included in the blend. The deep plum/ruby hued 2004 Belles Soeurs Pinot Noir exhibits an evolved nose of sweet, ripe cherry jam intermixed with spice, underbrush and dried herbs de Provance characteristics. Full-bodied, fleshy, and undeniably appealing, it is a potent, full-throttle Pinot with no hard edges, (a characteristic of this vintage for all our wines). Sizeable yet remarkably smooth-textured and already appealing with a burgeoning complexity, it will drink exceptionally well upon release, and should evolve nicely for seven to eight years. A stunning premier cru from Beaune meets a gorgeous Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, and viola-2004 Belles Soeurs.
